New things galore. Mac OS X.5 Leopard gets released to the masses with feature that surely will make musicians happy, Time machine, compatibility with Logic pro 7 and the Vienna Instruments. VSL Releases the Beta for Mac OS X's version of the Vienna Ensemble, and the public version for XP 32 and 64 bit. The new VE has been met with applause from all although there are certainly some teething problems it is a fantastic piece of software that surely will improve the way we VSL users do our work.

I show off some of my work for Starship Farragut (Giving no spoilers for any Farragut fans that may be listening), but 4 cues .. and an encore .. that will show you what I've been upto for the passed 2 months. The VSL Podcast competition is still running but you have until the 15th of November to enter your submissions. This episode was specially brought to you be me having to travel back in time cos there wasn't any room to do the podcast with my current schedule .. So I break the boundaries of time and space to bring you a new show :D

If you wish to support the Podcast there is a great way you can do this. By purchasing my current CD 'Elven Moods II' (A CD made using entirely the VSL First Edition and Epic Horns), all the money I receive from this help me to make more and better music and give me time to do the podcast. And it's better than a donation button, cos this way you get a wonderful piece of music, and it costs much less than the standard price of a Store bought CD. :D My CD is currently available in many different formats and also as a real CD, so head along to my site

Episode Forty Four: 38.2 MB

Hey guys. This weeks show I announce the four winners for the first ever VSL podcast competition. Originally there would only have been three winners but two people tied for third place and VSL have been kind enough to allow me to give both people a prize. At First place was Christof Unterberger with his piece "Catch me if you can", and he will receive the VI - Special Keyboards library. In Second place is Paul Robbins with "The 11th Hour", and Joint third places are Michael Hennig with "The Emigrant" and Nick Simpson with "Natural History" .. and all three of these people will receive a VSL Instrument ranges poster.

Thanks to everyone for making this competition work. I know it's a only a small thing but it goes to show that it can work and and huge thanks to VSL for putting up the prizes. Which without this would not have been possible. I'd also like to wish you all a happy xmas and I hope only the best for you in the new year coming. Lots of lovely things to talk about on future shows so stay tuned.

Episode Forty Five: 38.6 MB

The first show for 2008. A new template for Logic 8 will be on it 's way to my site as soon as I put the finishing touches to it and test it a little more. I'm loving the sound of it personally and I play some music that uses the new template, won't suit all but I like it anyways. Logic 8 and a new iPod touch were amongst my xmas pressies and I've been making good use of both of them. I'll review Logic 8 in more depth when I've had a better play with it .. but thus far I'm liking the upgrades. Certainly all the new stuff you get is worth the cost. Some more music from the competition (Entries 5-8) are played in this show.

Coming next show will be Jay Chattaways interview. This has been delayed just due to my music workload which has been pretty heavy as of late. So, hope you enjoy.
