Episode Twenty Six: 63.3 MB
Hey everyone. Took a week off but I'm back now with your Podcast. I talk about Stereo width and why you should look to narrow your instruments for big orchestra's and not so much for a small group of instruments. Also we have music from Todd Jones, and Mark Winter, and of course Beat Kaufmann. I will be amending my mixing topics on my website soon with new information and some new logic session templates. Thanks to all those who sent me e-mail letting my know how much they're enjoying the show your comments are gratefully appreciated.

If you wish to support the Podcast there is a great way you can do this. By purchasing my current CD 'Elven Moods II' (A CD made using entirely the VSL First Edition and Epic Horns), all the money I receive from this help me to make more and better music and give me time to do the podcast. And it's better than a donation button, cos this way you get a wonderful piece of music, and it costs much less than the standard price of a Store bought CD. :D My CD is currently available in many different formats and also as a real CD, so head along to my site
(www.elvenmusic.com) to find out more about that.

Episode Twenty Seven: 45.9 MB

This week I talk about presenting your music through a website and places to entice people into looking into your music. As it makes sense to try and stand out from the crowd, something that isn't so easy to do with a myspace account, though having one of those is better than none .. and it's free :P And of course showing some wonderful music of Tanuj Tiku as well as some other pieces by myself. No podcast show for the next two weeks on account of my having a holiday and then going to work in a studio in Augsburg for a few days. However I now have Altiverb 5 and I will be looking into doing a topic about it as soon as I learn how to use it. and in anycase I will review it for those who are thinking about buying it.

Episode Twenty Eight: 62.2 MB

This week I interview Christof Unterberger, one of the cellists who recorded samples for VSL at silent stage. We talk about his career, beginnings, current projects and his feelings about working for the VSL and what it has been like to record at silent stage for the past 5 years.

And then some music from Beat Kaufmann and Guy Bacos. Stay tuned for an upcoming interview with a Hollywood composer (to be kept secret until later :D). Thanks for listening.

Episode Twenty Nine: 38.9 MB

Happy New year everyone.

This show is a little late in coming. I've been playing around with my new music toys a little too much so I didn't get to do an xmas show .. but we have some nice pieces of music in this. I talk about Altiverb and show some examples of work with and without it. A little mention of Voices of the apocalypse. And Rob Van Der Berg is featured on the composer showcase.

This week I compare an older piece of mine miexed with Space Designer and a new mix done with Altiverb 6. Still a few EQ problems to sort but I think you'll agree the depth feel is quite significant. Also we have music from Beat Kaufmann, Guy Bacos, Rob Van Der Berg, and Mark Winter. Thanks to all those for the uses of their music. Please visit their websites to find out more about them and their music. (Links available in the shownotes).
