wedge Vienna Ensemble 3 (VE 3) on test
www.vsl.co.at
* Easy to setup, the audio setup happens without you having to do anything

* Make sure your firewall software is set to let the "Vienna Ensemble Service" through .. or you won't be able to connect to the other computers VE 3

* If you're running on a Mac you must have your CPU's set on Highest (In the Energy saver system preferences panel) or you will suffer bad performance issues when the processors start to cycle down.

* You do not need to have a VE 3 license on the Master computer .. assuming you don't wish to run VE or any Vienna Instruments (VI) instances on the master host. You get 3 licenses when you buy VE 3 and you can put them on keys to cover 3 slave computers .. which means that you can operate your sequencer on a computer without having to use up a license.

* One has to use the Multi-timbral tracks to run VE 3

* With Gigabit ethernet this is a really flawless way to run your VI's

* About Brian Tyler

Brian Tyler is a film composer, conductor, instrumentalist, and songwriter. He composed the music for the science fiction film "Aliens vs Predator: Requiem" for 20th Century Fox and Sylvester Stallone's upcoming action film "Rambo." Some of Brian's recent film scores include the edgy and electronic score for "The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift", the dark thriller “Constantine” starring Keanu Reeves, Disney's heartfelt and emotional “The Greatest Game Ever Played” for director Bill Paxton, and the gritty action film “The Hunted” starring Tommy Lee Jones for Academy Award winning director William Friedkin.

He also scored the upcoming action thriller "Bangkok Dangerous" starring Nicolas Cage, the romantic epic "Partition" set against war-torn India in 1947, Phil Atwell's thriller "War" starring Jet Li and Jason Statham which features Brian conducting the London Symphony Orchestra, William Friedkin's thriller "Bug" starring Ashley Judd, and Justin Lin's "Finishing the Game" about Bruce Lee's final film.

Tyler also recently scored “Timeline” based on the novel by Michael Crichton for director Richard Donner as well as Paramount's “Star Trek: Enterprise”. Tyler's music was also featured in the theatrical trailers for "The Chronicles of Narnia", "Cinderella Man", "Master and Commander", "World Trade Center", "The Matrix Revolutions," "The Departed," and "The Aviator".

In July of 2006 his score for "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" hit #1 on the iTunes soundtrack sales charts. Tyler’s score for Bill Paxton’s “Frailty” won a World Soundtrack Award in 2002 while his soundtrack for “Children of Dune” was the #4 best selling album on Amazon.com during March of 2003. That score also won Brian a BSO Spirit Film Music Award for “Best Score of the Year."

He also composed music for the 2004 and 2006 Olympics and was nominated for an Emmy Award for his jazz score to “Last Call” starring Jeremy Irons and Sissy Spacek chronicling the life of F. Scott Fitzgerald. Other scores include Jonathan Liebesman #1 hit "Darkness Falls", Disney's "Annapolis" starring James Franco, "Godsend" starring Robert DeNiro, and Omar Naim's "The Final Cut" starring Robin Williams.

His main instruments are piano, drums and percussion, guitar and bass. He is also a conductor and mixer.

Tyler is a graduate of UCLA and Harvard University and was greatly inspired by his Academy Award winning art director grandfather Walter Tyler.
